Page One, Reconsidered in Bright Colors

Today I saw the truth. Everything I need for my book is in Clip Studio Paint EX. I can do all of the painting and drawing using CSP’s default brushes. I don’t need no stinking custom brushes (though I have thousands of them). I don’t need Artrage, Rebelle, Procreate, or Corel Painter. I do, however, need Photoshop and InDesign, but for the artwork, I just need CSP.

I’ve also decided that I have to ditch my hybrid page template, the template that that tries to satisfy the needs of both the 8x8 print book and the landscape ePub. Having a confusing template was holding me back and distracting me for focusing on how to compose my pictures for a square page. When I get to the ePub portion of this project, I’ll do what I did for book two — I’ll extend the background to fill the rectangular ePub page.
