Character Design -- A Walrus on the Way to Acapulco
/Today I looked at pictures of walruses. When I have to paint something, I usually think I can draw from memory. That’s my over confident ego trying to delude me. Ultimately I have to do research, every time. There are five more animals to draw for this double-page spread so I’ll be looking at lions, elephants, pelicans, rats, and zebras.
It would be great to be smarter and more skillful and able to work faster. Since none of those things are happening, I’ll just keep moving forward an inch a day.
