Still working on page 32...

I’m plugging away on this picture. I want to create a sense of clutter and amusement. Now that I’m thinking of what a cluttered room should look like, my mind is traveling back to my own room filled with model airplanes, a Gilbert chemistry set, a microscope and jars of swamp water teeming with busy little germs and one-celled animals. I also had an Erector set and built a telescope out of an 8-foot long cardboard tube. As I progressed, I learned how to make rockets. I convinced my mother to got to the pharmacy and buy me all of the chemicals I needed. Fortunately, all of my explosions were not fatal and I still have all of my fingers. When I realized that I was doing dangerous stuff, I miraculously decided to change hobbies and bought an expensive Pickett slide rule so that I could become an engineer.
