Going in a new direction

I woke up this morning and knew that I need to take a break from my Adventures of Jimmy Jay series. I ’m burnt out, not only with the book, but with blogging every day. I’ve made 725 consecutive posts to this blog and to Tumbler. I need to change directions.
After I finish my Easter Island book, my third Jay book, I’m going to start work on the graphic novel I’ve been mulling over for the last couple of years. My original plan was to buzz through the six children’s picture books in three years, build some skills, then work on the other projects I’ve been looking forward to. But, the monkey wrench in that plan is that it takes me a year to complete a book. I don’t want to wait another three years. So, I’m going to wrap up the Easter Island book and move to what’s next.
