Artrage infatuation

I’m learning how to paint, as in digital painting. I can draw well enough, and I’ve done some watercolor painting (in my own primitive style), but as for “real” painting, I’m a rank beginner with lots of aspirations. I want to learn how to do one-layer digital painting that looks like real oil painting. The best program for digital painting, in my opinion, is Artrage. It’s an awesome painting program that has almost zero buzz on Youtube. It’s not the most popular painting program if you count the number of Youtube videos about it.

I think this is a good thing because I like to take the path that others don’t take. I like to take the road not taken, strolling to my own music, marching to the beat of a different drum. I’m a contrary spirit, the black sheep, and I don’t like to be be one of the flock, piling to every trend that comes along. I like Artrage so much I’m going to be using it for the images in my next children’s book. I’ve started to teach myself how to paint digitally by studying the Youtube videos of Daniel Ibanez.. He’s inspiring.

This image was made with Artrage on my iPad Pro. I plan to use Artrage at my weekly Al Fresco Drawing Club session. This week we’ll be painting our self-portraits.
