Krita's Crayon Brushes

aug_25_krita_crayon.blog.jpg, Krita, Crayon brushes,

Today I had a few minutes to try Krita’s Crayon brushes. They remind me of my favorite Frankentoon Procreate brushes. Ramon Miranda of Krita has created an inspiring Youtube demo that shows the crayon brush potential. Check it out: Crayons Timelapse - Art is everywhere! What’s also cool is that Krita is free and open source and runs on Windows, macOs, and Linux. It just keeps getting better.

Nacho. Age 15-weeks.

Today was a puppy-focused Sunday. All four of us went for a short walk, with Willy, our paranoid Pomeranian, leading the way. Nacho idolizes Willy and fell in behind like a real trooper.

Now that Nacho has lived with us for five weeks, we’ve all adjusted to our new life. Things have settled into a comfortable groove. I still get up at 2:30 am to walk him, and that schedule will continue until I can trust him to make it safely through the night.

I had time today to watch Steve Elliot’s Youtube video about Krita’s new charcoal brushes, and decided to look at them. I like them, but I don’t know if I’ll use them. I still haven’t decided on the ultimate style I’ll be using for my future books.
