Vuescan Scanner Software - I Broke Down and Bought It

I’ve been dithering about buying Vuescan since I bought my Plustek A3 scanner. The software that came with the scanner is crap. I won’t go into how bad it is, except to say that the images that come out of it invariably need to be rescued in Photoshop. Shame on Plustek, but hooray for Vuescan. The scans I made tonight were acceptable right out of the scanner. I’m looking forward to profiling the scanner with an IT 8 Scanner Color Calibration Target from http://target.coloraid.de.

In other news, I’ve decided that real artists draw. My lovely new sketchbooks inspire me to post my daily sketches. One of the great things about having a blog is that I can use it to keep track of my sketches by date.
