Stocking Up the Pantry and Fiddling with Brushes

Yesterday’s picture painted with different brushes. I’’m going to give Betty bigger eyes.

Today we went shopping and found the coop shelves bare of canned food, so we bought lots of dry food — mainly beans, rice, and lentils. All in all about a month’s supply, enough, I hope, for the infrastructure to get the food machine functioning again. The last time I experienced this kind of chaos was in the aftermath of the 1987 San Francisco earthquake.

In the meantime, I spent time working on achieving an organic look for my drawings. I’m not there yet, but I will persist. I need to find a texture brush that looks good in an 8x8 inch page printed at 300 dpi.
