Page 23 with All Five Characters

At last I have all five characters on the same page. It took me two weeks to get this page in shape. Drawing fire taxed my newbie drawing abilities and I struggled to draw the fiery volcano demon. Everything I tried was ghastly. In the end, I reused the demon drawing from page 22. Perhaps, before the book is done, I’ll revisit this page and come up with something original.

Children's Book Temple Top Picture Finished

Today I wrapped up the Temple Top picture. I added some shadows to help the characters standout from the background. I also gave Buddy a crouching posture as he peers into the distance looking for his relatives in the highlands of Mexico. Tomorrow I’ll start working on the jungle picture as they begin their trek to the Mountain of Monarch Butterflies.
